Sharon Brown cheston, Ph.D.
Sharon Brown Cheston, Ph.D., proprietor, is a pianist, choral conductor, Contemporary Gospel/Christian pianist/singer, educator, composer, ethnomusicologist, and Women's Mental Health Advocate/Motivational Speaker. Dr. Cheston received her Ph.D. degree in Music Education from the Case Western Reserve University/ Cleveland Institute of Music Joint Music Program. She received her training in Suzuki piano and Suzuki theory curriculum/pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she currently serves on the music theory Academy faculty.

Tiamoyo Chorale is a volunteer, multi-generationalensemble, including women from varying occupations, coming together to sound their collective artistic voices. Tiamoyo Music Academy is a place where students of all ages can enjoy music. Located in a peaceful, country-like setting, in the village of Woodmere, Ohio, Tiamoyo Music Academy is under the direction of Dr. Sharon Brown Cheston, educator, pianist, singer, ethnomusicologist, composer, author, conductor, wife, and mother.
Dr. Cheston is an experienced performer and church musician, having released her solo CD, Praise and Worship. She has served as a church pianist/organist, soloist, choir director, and worship leader. She has performed as a singer/pianist in solo concerts, for church services, prayer breakfasts, church retreats, community events, and in various other settings.
